Extra Features and Benefits of Xtreme Earth Backpacks

"X-Slide" Harness System & Fitting

This is the back harness for the XE75. Identical in everyway to the XE60 with the exception of slightly smaller Auminium Stays (20mm on XE75 and 25mm on XE60 -see below for more detail).

As you can see in the picture (#1) the harness is easily fully hight adjustable to suit your back length by simply adjusting the 2 lower tension buckles. The ideal wearing position for your pack is with the waist belt fitted snuggly around your hips and the lower back pad (#2) sitting comfortably just above your butt muscles. Next step is to adjust the shoulder pads to fit your shoulder diameter by adjusting the straps (#3) as desired. All of this is best done again with weight added to the pack to get it absolutely right before taking on a decent trek!

The other nice feature is the chest strap. This is designed to keep the shoulder straps from pulling to the outside of your shoulders and helps to keep the weight distribution where it should be; down the middle of your spine and onto your hips! Xtreme Earth chest straps are hight adjustable so that you can position exactly where you desire (Ladies, you know what I mean!).

As mentioned above, the XE75 has slightly smaller Aluminium back stays than the XE60. This might seem odd at first glance but because the XE75 has these (#1) extra 7.5mm Aluminium side bars, the wider 'inner' ones are not required. These side bars are designed to help stabalise and centre the weight of the taller pack, keeping you balanced and more comfortable.

This image also shows the 'Wicking' material used on the back and waist padding. This is designed to draw any moisture away from the body. Another feature designed for your comfort!

XE75 Stay
The XE75 also has 2 side pockets, the left hand one contains a Hydration Bladder holder. To compliment this, there is a drinking tube clip on the left hand shoulder strap for convenient access to water.
